ARTS WEDNESDAY 12 SEPTEMBER 2012

EdLippmann joins me at about 10:40 am for Part 2 of our current series of Sydney By Design and this week Ed talks about Barangaroo – yes again! However, it is just about the most exciting design project in Sydney and I suspect it won’t be the last time we discuss it!

My special guest in the studio this week is Jonathan James. Many of you may remember Jonathan from a couple of years ago when he presented Now Showing for Arts Wednesday. He is now an academic at the University of Newcastle, where he is Associate Lecturer in the School of Drama Fine Arts and Music. He is also one of a group of artists exhibiting in the inaugural exhibition at 107 Projects, a new arts precinct in Redfern. The exhibition is entitled Why White? He was in Sydney for the opening last week and I caught up with him to record the interview I’ll play at about 11:00 am.

For music this week, I’ll return to focussing on just one instrument and this week it will be the violin.

I look forward to your company!

Jonathan James
