Arts Wednesday 13 November 2013
My first guest is Sally Whitwell, twice Aria-winning pianist, composer, conductor and educator who has created concert for chamber choir Bel A Cappella, combining Britten’s Sacred and Profane with British pop music. How she marries the two is an interesting story!
At 11:00 I’ll play an interview I recorded with Sheona White, Head of Public Programs at the Art Gallery of NSW about the new blockbuster at the gallery, America: Painting a Nation. It is a great exhibition and you will enjoy Sheona’s articulate and intelligent approach to the art and the artists.
Music will combine both music relating to the Bel A Cappella concert as well as to American art and artists.
Please join me!
