ARTS WEDNESDAY 15 AUGUST 2012

At about 10:40 am we will hear from art consultant Anna Waldmann with Part 3 of our series on Cultural Philanthropy and this week Anna talks about foundations without space.

At the 11:00 o’clock mark I will have not one but four special guests! The Tender Age is a play inspired by the now-infamous lie-detector test administered by Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O to a 14-year-old girl, who admitted on air that she had been raped when she was 12. The play is a collaboration between Version 1.0 and atyp (Australian Theatre For Young People). David Williams and Fraser Corfield are the co-directors of the play and  in the first part of the interview, I talk to them and in the last part, I talk to Saskia and Sean, two young actors from atyp who appear in the play. I reorded the interview at atyp studios at Pier 5 on Hickson Road, a venue not without its difficulties! The Australian Philharmonic Choir was rehearsing next door, the loo was adjacent to our recording position and the cleaner was doing his thing downstairs! We certainly  missed out on the sterility of the studio but I think you will pick up lots of atmosphere!!!! The play opens at Carriageworks on August 22nd.
