ARTS WEDNESDAY 16 NOVEMBER 2011

Today we hear Part 6, the final episode with Adrian Newstead and Aboriginal art. Adrian will round off the series with a discussion of urban artists. Next week we start a new series of Sydney By Design with Ed Lippmann, making a welcome return to the program.

My special guest this week is Mitchell Librarian, Richard Neville, also making a welcome return. The library just purchased a rare album of watercolours dating to 1810s found in the back of a cupboard of an elderly gentleman in London, Ontario in Canada. The image is from the album and is titled: View of Dawe’s Battery at the Entrance of Sydney Cove and is dated  at ca 1818. The artists is convict Joseph Lycett.

Music will mainly deal with seeking and finding!

As always, I look forward to your company!
