ARTS WEDNESDAY 18 APRIL 2012

The 2 Eds return at 10:40 am with Part 3 of our current series of Sydney By Design looking at major infrastructure projects in cities around the world and the lessons we can learn in Sydney.

My special guest at 11:00am is Maria Fernanda Cardosa, a most unusual artist whose work explores the nexus between art and the world of natural science. Her current project is entitled MoCo for short, an acronym for Museum of Copulatory Organs – yep! you read it correctly! I recorded a conversation with Maria in her studio at SCA in Rozelle yesterday and her charm and enthusiasm more than compensated for the noise of rain and aircraft!

Maria originally hails from Columbia, so that’s the source of most of the music with a few animals thrown in!

As always, I look forward to your company!
