ARTS WEDNESDAY 20 JULY 2011

This is week 4 in our current series of Sydney By Design with Ed Lippmann and our focus is Barangaroo. After hearing from Phillip Thalis last week, I am very pleased that Andrew Andersons will join our discussion this week. Andrew is the local architect working with Richard Rogers’ team  for Lend Lease.

My special guest this week soon after 11:00 am is Dr Gene Sherman, Director of SCAF and the gallery, making a very welcome return to Arts Wednesday. The new installation at the gallery is entitled Erasure and is by Vietnamese artist Dinh Q Le. I think it is one of the most moving art works I have seen in recent years!

Music this week will feature old-time standards from the jazz repertoire.
