ARTS WEDNESDAY 21 APRIL 2010

Yes I know I’m not supposed to be here but our trip got aborted! Just as well I suppose – otherwise we might be stuck in London, unable to get to New York or anywhere else! Anyway, here I am and the good news is that I get to return to Arts Wednesday!

Bliss will join me by phone from Melbourne for this week’s Now Showing at about 9:45 am and Ed Lippmann returns with Sydney By Design at 10:10 am.

My special guest this week is Dr Simon Longhurst, Executive Director of the St James Ethics Centre, which was responsible for producing the ethics course being trialled as of this week in selected Sydney schools. The course has come under fire from church leaders and I was most curious as to why. Simon was able to come into the studio and prerecord an interview on Monday and I will put it to air at 10:30 am.

What with the Indian summer we are experiencing, it is hard to remember that it is autumn! But autumn it is and that’s the music I’ll be playing as well as some tracks to commemorate ANZAC Day, which falls next Sunday.

I do look forward to your company!
