Arts Wednesday 24 July 2013
At 10:40 am I’ll play an interview I recorded with Wayne Tunnicliffe, Head of Australian Art at the Art Gallery of NSW about the recent acquisition of four new paintings.
I’ve been trawling through archived interviews – and goodness me there are plenty – and came across an interview I recorded in Charleston, South Carolina in 2004 with local historian Harlan Greene. I enjoyed a second listen and decided to give it a re-airing at the 11:00 am time slot.
Music will focus on the African American experience, from songs of slavery through to the Gershwin classic, Porgy and Bess.
As always, I look forward to your company.
