At 10:40 am we start  new series of short episodes with Michael Lea, curator of musical instruments at the Powerhouse Museum and this week Michael introduces us to the collection. It’s a great new series I know you will enjoy.

My special guests at 11:00 am are Jane Raffan and Patrick Corrigan. Patrick is a legendary cultural philanthropist in Australia and also collector of (amongst other things) indigenous art. Jane is of course well-known to us all as presenter of Arts Monday, but is also an art consultant, with expertise in the area of indigenous art. Power + Colour is a recent publication, documenting 129 paintings in the Corrigan collection of works produced since 2000. Jane is the author of the scholarly text in the book.

Music today is (nearly all) aboriginal.
