ARTS WEDNESDAY 30 DECEMBER 2009

Bliss Jensen will join me at about 9:45 am for Now Showing and we will review an exhibition we saw together a couple of weeks ago – the Olafur Eliasson at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Anna Groden will be in the studio at about 10:10 am for Investing in Art and this week promised to talk about what’s on at the NGA in Canberra.

My special guest this week is Richard Neville, Mitchell Librarian, making a welcome return to Arts Wednesday. The Mitchell turns 100 in 2010 and I thought I would ask Richard to take us on a somewhat eccentric tour of its fabulous collections.

Some of the music this week will be eccentric – because of Richard and because it is the silly season! Some will be from new CDs and yes, I have got a brand new one but it is a gift! And because it is the last show of the year, I’ll play you some of my favourites as well. All in all, a mixed bag, but one I hope you will enjoy.

I take this opportunity to wish you all a safe, healthy, peaceful and happy new year.

As always, I look forward to your company.
