ARTS WEDNESDAY 4 AUGUST 2010

I am really pleased to be back from our travels – even more delighted that we managed more than one week and I really am looking forward to being back at the console presenting ArtsWednesday again!

At about 9:45 am I will be pleased to introduce you all to Jonathan James, who will be presenting Now Showing. He is a very interesting young man and I am sure we will all enjoy his take on what’s on at galleries and museums. At about 10:10 am Tracy le Cornu returns with part 4 of our current series of Investing in Art.

My special guest this week is Sandy Edwards, curator at Stills Gallery in Paddington and also director 0f Arthere. I often call her the guru of Australian photography and I look forward to welcoming her back to Arts Wednesday. Our conversation will focus on the current exhibition at Stills, featuring Petrina Hicks and contemporary Chinese photographer Ma Liang, known as Maleonn. It is an absorbing exhibition and her viewpoint on both artists and the images will, as always, be worth listening to!

Music this week will be from the new CDs I bought while I was away. As you can imagine, it is an eclectic mix and hope you will enjoy listening as much as I have in programming.

I look forward to your company!
