Arts Wednesday 8 January 2014
I am really happy to be back and I look forward to a new year of Arts Wednesday programs!
First up, we continue the current series of Sydney By Design with Ed Lippmann. For those of you who missed the first two episodes, we have been discussing his first high-rise building at 8 Chifley Square and this week the conversation continues with his collaboration with the Rogers, Stirk, Harbour and Partners firm of architects in London.
At 11:00 am I will be pleased to introduce you to Gael Hammer, who has been on a 25-year quest to put her great-uncle Miles Evergood in his rightful place in the history of Australian art and artists. She has just published a definitive biography, entitled Miles Evergood: No End of Passion and sees a nation-wide retrospective exhibition commence this year. It’s a fascinating story and Gael is a great story teller! She has kindly given us an autographed copy of the book as a give away for an Eastside supporter and I will be announcing it at the conclusion of the conversation.
Music this week is a bit of a mixture!
Please join me. As always, I look forward to your company.
