Australian Blues Music Festival 2013 hits Goulburn next weekend!
This Febuary 7th-10th The Australian Blues Music Festival takes over Goulburn once again. Make a tree change whilst indulging in the creme of Australian blues artists, supporting local talent and our budding Blues and Roots culture.
The festival offers an intimate musical experience, providing the opportunity to enjoy a range of different styles from solo acoustic acts to rocking big blues bands. Leisurely make your way between acts whilst enjoying the fresh country air and a touch of local talent and free busking along the way.
The festival boasts an incredible line-up featuring over 70 free gigs, with the opportunity to see Bondi Cigars, Dreamboogie (pictured below) and Jeff Lang in the flesh!
- Melbourne-based Dreamboogie combines the rich vocal talent of Rebecca Daveys and the instrumental prowess of musicians Connor O’Neill, Robert B. Dillon and Sam Buckley. They perform material by the likes of Junior Wells, Denise LaSalle and Jackson whilst adding their own storytelling flavour.
- Bondi Cigars’ “timeless, unpretentious style of music” offers both laid-back grooves and a beat to dance to and will have you up on your feet dancing from the minute the gig starts right till the moment you get home.
- Jeff Lang, winner of the “Best Blues and Roots Album at the 2012 ARIA awards performs his unique self-described “disturbed folk” style, combining his talent for singing ,song writing and slide guitar to create a performance not to be missed.
