Bali Beds on Beach?

Imagine. A purple sunset, a gentle breeze, five hundred candles on the sand and a dozen canopied beds on the beach -their gauzy  drapes floating overhead. Bali again? Well, yes.

For a special occasion Beds on the Beach are a new event at The Four Seasons, Jimbaran.

I giggled and wriggled my toes in the sand while sipping a cool white. This would have been enough, but as the candles flickered in the sand and course after course of delicate morsels were brought to our ‘abode’, we just fell in love with the Chef who designed the menu. Absolutely fine dining on the sand.

Un-hurried and faultless service allowed for contemplation: as the sky turned an indigo blue, the candles seemed to gain in strength.

Climbing back to our cliff-side villa was like floating from one paradise to another…
