Brazil Film Festival | 20 – 24 October

This October, the Brazil Film Festival brings a selection of the most celebrated Brazilian films to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Following its success in 2009, the Brazil Film Festival promotes the diffusion of Brazilian culture in the world through film screenings and festive activities. It creates opportunities for networking and cultural exchange, bringing to Australia a taste of Brazil.

It is dedicated exclusively to Brazilian Cinema, and counts on full support from the Federal Government of Brazil through its Consulate General in Sydney.

You’ll see a vibrant variety of the most recently produced and or released films from the national Brazilian cinema. Film screenings will be at the Dendy Opera Quay in Sydney, Cinema Nova in Melbourne and Tribal Theatre in Brisbane. Composer Claudio Lyra signed the Festival´s theme song, “Sibersamba”.

“Pachamama”

“Dzi Croquettes”

“Histórias de Amor Duram Apenas 90 Minutos” (Love Stories Last Only 90 Minutes)

“Lula, O Filho do Brasil” (Lula, The Son of Brazil)

Ticket will be sold through Moshtix, at Dendy Opera Quays and online at the festival´s website.
