Behind The Scenes of ‘One Less God’
Come inside the making of a new challenging Australian feature film with photographer Nelson Lau’s ´Behind-The-Scenes of One Less God´ photo exhibition.
One Less God is inspired by the Mumbai terrorist attacks of 2008. The film centres upon a group of international tourists besieged in their hotel by members of the Islamic Fundamentalist group Lashkar-eTaiba, the ‘Army of the Righteous’. For 72 hours, the terrorists methodically stalk the hotel driving the survivors out of hiding. As the days pass with still no intervention, the guests must battle to survive both the terrorists, and their own conflicting beliefs.
“The story of One Less God was originated by myself and Writer/Director Lliam Worthington, my close friend and collaborator for many years, after we were both deeply moved and affected by the tragic events of the Mumbai terrorist attacks. These images represent the artistry, passion and dedication of the many hundreds of people who came together to help make this film a reality. ” – Nelson Lau
The film was shot on multiple locations from Kathmandu in Nepal, to the Blue Mountains, the Central Coast of NSW, and greater Sydney over an 8 month period. The film is currently in post production.
“If our children can die for the sake of our beliefs, maybe it’s time our beliefs started dying for the sake of our children.” – Lliam Worthington (Writer/Director/Producer)
Lliam Worthington (Writer/Director/Producer of One Less God) will be the guest speaker at the opening night where visitors will also have the opportunity to meet with the cast and crew of One Less God. Prizes and double cinema passes kindly sponsored by Palace Chauvel Cinema and New Realms Films. All profits from the sales of prints will be donated directly to the Nepal earthquake relief fund.
