Café Continentale – A Luscious Latin Music Celebration

A feast of Italian/Neapolitan Golden oldies with a contemporary kink, Spanish evergreens with a peek into 15th Century Sephardic Andalusia, heartfelt Brazilian joyous/melancholic love lores and a sprinkling of French and English hot garnish. Dahlia Dior and Courtney Severini combined their vocal/instrumental talents and passion to create this magical show. They are joined by the mercurial Mark Harris on double bass and Jess Ciampa’s rousing percussion. Café Continental – A night of bewitching melodies, tantalising harmonies, rousing rhythms and stimulating stories.

Dahlia Dior

Jerusalem born Dahlia began her international career at the Paris Olympia then on to London, Tokyo & South East Asia. In Australia she performed with Ray Charles, Matt Monroe, Blood, Sweat and tears, and Sophisticated Ladies at SOH. Dahlia graduated with a Masters in music from Macquarie University and a certificate in “Conflict Resolution” from the Hebrew University.

Courtney Severini

Australian born to a musical Italian family, classically trained pianist and delicious chanteuse who is a partner in morselmusic.com.au. Courtney performed in Hayman Island/ Whitsundays for six years, has musical projects with The Baci Trio and Honey Bogans. Her genres include: Cabaret, World Music and Jazz. She is a mother to a couple of young, energetic and bright boys, she plays mainly joyful music.
