Cam McAllister Big Band

Cam McAllister is a trumpet player and composer. He is Melbourne born but at the moment based in Sydney. While he has been here, Cam’s main musical focus has been creating a program of original compositions and arrangements.

Cam has created a Big Band to showcase his composing and playing talents. The Big Band consists of some of Sydney’s finest artists. To give you a sample, we have Kym Lawson on the sax, Rob Flynn on the trombone and of course Cam McAllister on the trumpet. It is definitely a must-see!

There are seventeen musicians that make up the Big Band, giving his music a contemporary, melodic and accessible sound. Take a look at the clip below, for a snippet of his playing talents.

Cam has played and toured with many amazing artists, including the Melbourne Jazz Orchestra. Take this opportunity to hear his compositions as well as see him perform!
