Clovelly Public School Theatrical Premiere

Clovelly Public School has built itself a brand new theatre, and is about to celebrate with a grand theatrical opening.

Performed by the school’s students, directed by the talented Garry Scale, veteran of Eastside’s Sonic Tales, and choreographed by our own Gill Falson, this is truly an Eastside family event.

Last Post by Tony Taylor

“It’s 1917 and WWI is dragging to a close. The children of Clovelly with the help of wounded soldier and local musician Harold Gurgleday, have managed to open up the old Clovelly Vaudeville house which has been closed for the duration of the war. They’ve decided to put on a show. Because ‘everybody needs a bit of cheerin’ up.’

Join them for an arvo of poems, letters to and from the front, songs of the war and the hit parade…and the odd word or two from our sponsor. You’ll have a laugh, probably a cry but leave with a smile on your face…and we won’t let you forget our friends and family at the front.”
