Night Noodle Market
Part of the Crave Sydney Food Festival
Sick of Mi Goreng? Craving authentic noodley goodness?
Crave no longer! The Night Noodle Markets have arrived!
Hyde Park North has been transformed into an authentic Asian hawker-style market, complete with food stalls and bars.
Everyone’s favorites will be there – pork buns, dumplings and an array of real, yes real Mi Goreng, however, there will be some new faces this year including Longrain (Surry Hills) as well as Mamak (Chinatown and Chatswood).
The three bars will feature Coopers Aussie ales, Brown Brothers wine and the always delicious, if not slightly uncultured, Chambord cocktails.
Dine under the mood fitting fairy light canopy and enjoy nightly entertainment including the much-loved visual spectical of the Chinese lions parading the laneways.
The Night Noodle Markets truly have something for everyone.
I’m salivating, see you there!
When: Monday, October 10–14 and October, 5 – 9pm weeknights

Alien Invasion at the Chauvel Cinema
Part of Monday night Cinemateque
Shirley Thompson versus the Aliens, released in 1972, is about group of aliens who plan to invade Australia as a means of taking over the Earth. In order to communicate with the people of Earth, they bring a statue of the long-dead Duke of Edinburgh to life. Part comedy/part sci-fi/part fifties rock musical, I’d say it ticks all the boxes for a quality Monday night.
Admission 18+, unless the film has been rated in Australia
When: Monday, October 10 – 6.30pm
Where: Chauvel Cinema, Cnr Oxford St & Oatley Rd, Paddington
Cost: Monday night Cinemateque is strictly for members and their guests, but you can grab a Mini Membership at the door (4 screenings/1 guest) for $20/Conc. $16.50
