Colour Fields

This summer, see Sydney Harbour in a different light, with a cool drink in hand at the MCA’s pop-up bar, Colour Fields.

Inspired by the Sydney International Art Series exhibition, Pipilotti Rist: Sip my Ocean, the MCA has collaborated with Scoundrel Projects to give Circular Quay a pop of colour during the warmer months.

Family Twilight Tours

Discover the wonders of space with your big and little stars.

In this 90 minute tour, you and your kids will have fun with rockets and see some of the wonderful objects in the twilight sky through our telescopes. The tour includes the Planetarium, telescope viewing and rocket launching.

Mammoths: Giants of the Ice Age

For millions of years, mammoths roamed the Earth. Mammoths: Giants of the Ice Age transports visitors to a world dominated by these colossal creatures, that weighed up to 8 tons and bore tusks up to 5 metres long.

For the first time in Australia, journey into the Ice Age to discover fossils, life-size replicas and a 42,000 year old real baby mammoth, Lyuba. Investigate current theories about their DNA and extinction and unravel the biological and paleontological mysteries of these awe-inspiring land mammals.
