How the City Cares
Does the city care?
It would be easy to answer this question in the negative. Life in a large city like Sydney is so often measured through values like wealth and growth. From the perspective of our footpaths and windows, urban development seems to be extending rapidly and unstoppably, outwards and upwards. People are counted not as individual citizens, rather by the million.
But How the City Cares considers life in Sydney through artist-led projects that have sought to care about and for its people and places. These projects take a variety of forms, including the documentation of protest and of long-term community resistance, creative support for community-run activities and spaces, portable contexts for teaching and learning, design approaches that re-think our relationship to land and water (and who owns it), innovations for reversing environmental and cultural damage and encounters that ask questions to communities and listen to the answers they offer.

Visions of Colour by Maria Moshonis
Maria graduated from the KvB Institute of Design and currently works from a home based studio. ‘When I pick up a paintbrush art is created. I work with acrylic and watercolour mediums creating beautiful abstract art.’
Projects during 2010 – 2017 required me to work closely with interior stylists and designers all over Australia including regional and major cities.
Extending my creativity to clay I now also have a passion for pottery.

YOKE Pop Up Magazine
Featuring the works of Ella Ballhausen, Jack Barrueto, Micaela Ellis, Orson Heidrich, Ryan Lee, Bryce Noakes, Vasili Papathanasopoulos, Jazmin Pezzano, Kristina Savic and Phoebe Taylor.
Through photography, video and mixed media, Call It What You Want To is an immersive installation that aims to transform the perception of space and examine the way varying mediums can work in unison to create a platform, in which audience participation is encouraged to activate and reveal the meaning of the installation.
When comparing the parallels between theatre and installation, and the role of the audience within these realms, it is concluded that whilst a sense of self-density as a viewer is maintained, the viewer is also immersed within the extravagant world they have entered.
The works within this exhibition explore the exploitation of visual mediums, the layered connections through sequence and arrangement, the use of easily accessible materials to create installations that blur the lines of contemporary art and the use of photography and video to explore the contemporary space between the mediums.

It's a Match : Tinder Comedy Event
It’s a match! a Tinder-themed panel show where we explore people’s love lives onstage in a hilarious and heartfelt show that you don’t wanna miss!
The rules are simple: you put your name in the bucket on the night or online and if you are selected, you get up onstage and have your profile reviewed by our panel of “experts”. Its gonna be embarrassing, heartfelt, honest, gross, and also very very funny.
