Do you think you are quite crafty with your hands, or would you like to become more crafty? well an event that will give you tips and advice for you to carry on practising in your own time is the Enjoyable Beading Jewellery Making Class.

In the course you will be provided with all the materials that you will need to make your own jewellery piece to bring home, maybe a bracelet or earrings. It comes at a perfect time as valentines is the following week so you can give that special someone a present from the heart.

Throughout the class you will learn how to attach findings such as jumprings, parrots, collets, foldovers etc. You will also learn how to make a slide knot using wax cotton to embellish chunky necklaces and adjust the length of your jewellery piece without a clasp.

It will be an event that will give you access to a good quality and friendly learning environment, with your teacher on the day coming from an 11 year career in jewellery making you will be learning from the best.

With Sydney being such a multicultural city it is no surprise that Darling Harbour runs a great variety of events with their programme Culture Beats, that celebrates Australia's cultural diversity.

This weekend Darling Harbour will be hosting the Serbian Festival of Sydney. Where the flavours, dance, music and art of Serbia will be showcased and celebrated over two days for lots of family fun.
It is the largest Serbian festival in the southern hemisphere and is brought to you by the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Serbian Orthodox Youth Association Inc.

It is an opportunity to discover the heart of Serbia.
Infuse yourself with the cultural traditions of this European country and enjoy a weekend of exciting performances, fun activities for the family, music, delicious food, competitions and much more.

You will experience a part of the diverse Serbian culture through traditional music and dance such as Serbian Folkloric Dancing.

If you are looking for a gig to head along to that will be full of talent and funky sounds then check out the bass sounds of Thundercat.
To coincide with his appearance at Laneway Festival in 2016, US multi-instrumentalist Thundercat is set to play two exclusive sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne this month.

Stephen Bruner better known by his stage name Thundercat, is an American multi-genre bass player, producer and singer.
He takes his jazz roots and works with a mix of artists that suit his wildly experimental sensibilities - ranging from Flying Lotus, Erykah Badu, and Stanley Clarke.

Joining Thundercat in Sydney is Zambia-raised Sampa The Great. A female poet and singer-songwriter who aims to inspire through music, poetry and visual art.
It is sure to be a great mid-week gig that has it all, with Thundercat having previously played live alongside the likes of Snoop Dogg and Red Hot Chilli Peppers it is sure to be an interesting night.

With next weekend being the most romantic weekend of the year it is safe to say that love is in the air. Whether you are in a couple or are single it is good to understand and become aware of the power of love.

An event that is designed to shortcut the path to self-love with content, explaining tools and strategies for anyone who has ever wanted to find or keep love is How To Love Yourself.
The class will introduce you to some strategies that will make you more loveable to yourself. Some might say that it isn't good to love yourself too much, however you have to know how to love yourself.

It is your chance to explore the definitions of love, discuss how love impacts our lives and practice some techniques to help develop confidence and self love.
The class will be taught by an accredited Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner, who will introduce you to the world of love and heartbreak.
The aim is to inspire others to achieve beyond their dreams and beyond their heartbreaks.

If you are a fan of your surfing or are looking for an event that combines visuals and music together brilliantly, head along to The Reef by the Australian Chamber Orchestra.

It is an illuminating and thrilling celebration of surfing, the ocean, landscape, film and music melded together.
After huge critical acclaim in 2012 and 2013 in Australia The Reef was a great success.

Richard Tognetti - Artistic Director and Lead Violin took musicians and surfers to the rugged surf coast and tough desert landscape of northern Western Australia to create a new performance piece at the intersection of music and nature.

The show returns to Sydney for one night only before embarking on its North American tour.
Richard Tognetti and crew have ‘revisited’ the original project adding in exciting, new footage and re - invigorating the original score with new works to create an updated version of The Reef for 2016.
It is neither a classical music concert nor a surf film but a project from the heart of many artists.

If you are looking for a fun exciting way to get the kids out of the house while also informing them about nature, head out to The Spotlight Prowl in Centennial Parklands.
It is not only for the kids as adults will also learn about animals that they might never have seen before.

Centennial Parklands is home to a variety of nocturnal creatures, from brush tail possums, micro bats, tawny frogmouths and one of Sydney's largest colonies of the grey headed flying fox.
It is your chance to join the experienced rangers for an eye opening and surprising spotlight walk to see how the park transforms when the sun goes down and comes to life with a flurry of activity .

Dusk is a great time to see wildlife, especially micro bats, as the rangers will be using bat detectors to seek them out. It should be very interesting, worthwhile and especially fun.

Next Sunday is a very special day for a lot of people as the most romantic day of the year falls.
If you are looking for something fun and different to do this Valentines day while also raising funds and awareness for charity, leave the standard gym wear in the wardrobe and pop along to this years Cupid's Undie Run.

Cupid’s Undie Run is a 1.5km run while (as you can guess from the title) running in your underwear on Valentine’s weekend. It might sound a little out of the ordinary but for the weekend that is in it, it is a unique way to raise money for a great cause the chosen charity of the event is the Children’s Tumour Foundation of Australia. Last year the run raised close to $160,000 and hope to be even bigger and better this year.

A chance to be a part of something great that not only is in aid of a great cause, it is also a fun day out to spend with your loved one on Valentines. You can start a team, join a team, or run solo, bring a friend or make some new friends.

If you find yourself always looking for ways to eat more consciously and healthier, an event that will let you pick your lunch straight from the ground is the Hawkesbury River Food Safari.

It will give you a glance into the life of a farmer for the day, as you pick vegetables for lunch, ride a trawler on the Hawkesbury River and learn about local, sustainable fishing practices from passionate locals during this informative food safari.

It will be a day to remember as you board a bus in Sydney and ride up to the Hawkesbury River to then be brought on a boat up the river, pick vegetables from the farm and then watch as world renowned chef Martin Boetz prepares lunch with your ingredients for a communal riverside feast with wine.
