Japanese Cinema Week

Enjoy a wide variety of classic Japanese films, from animated to black and white, running all week thanks to the Japan Foundation Sydney. All films shown are in Japanese with English subtitles so they are enjoyable for anyone. Bookings are essential and seats are filling up fast so hurry and RSVP!

EQ Circus Works

Get inspired by the upcoming Cirque De Solieil phenomenon and come along to EQ for the kids Circus Workshop. Circus Works is recommended for kids aged 5 – 15 and includes lessons on juggling, stilts, walking beams, spinning plates and much, much more! The workshops are a part of the EQ school holiday program and runs alongside the EQ Village Markets every Wednesday. No booking required, simply turn up and have fun.

John Ogden Author Talk

John Ogden is a filmmaker, writer and photographer who wrote ‘Saltwater People of the Broken Bays’, a history of Sydney’s Northern beaches between North Head and Barrenjoey. John is currently researching a companion book on Sydney’s Southside beaches. He will be discussing his book at Waverly Library with wine and nibbles provided.

Black Screen Short Films @ Newtown Library
