JP Jones: Portraits of Sound
An auditory visionary, Jones has developed his own unique musical alchemy. His latest series of work is motivated by his quest to marry his 2 greatest passions – music and art. His affinity for contemporary art evolved from an unwavering curiosity to create a visual language from the invisible patterns of sound. It is from this fascination that Jones’ first Sound Portraits collection was born.

Spring garden at East Village Sydney
East Village Sydney in Darlinghurst has transformed its rooftop terrace into an English spring garden to celebrate the new season.
Themed like a country manor, the terrace has been styled with lush spring florals, English antiquities, floral walls, potted plants and lattice to transport patrons to the English countryside.
A new share drinks menu has been created to sip in the sun which includes an Endless English Spring cocktail – a mix of gin, elderflower liqueur, passion fruit pulp, cucumber, lemon thyme topped with soda and served in a jug. A classic Pimm’s jug is also available.
A high tea menu has also been launched which includes a classic chicken sandwich, mini lobster rolls and a selection of sweets such as melting moments, caramel slices and mini cupcakes. A high tea stand is available for 2 which includes lobster rolls, hot smoked salmon toast, chicken sandwiches and an assortment of sweets. $50 for 2 or $65 with 2 glasses of prosecco.
Throughout the season there will be traditional English games on offer including badminton on the upper deck. Patrons will be able to play a friendly match while enjoying a glass of champagne or spring cocktail. This area is also available for bookings.
The new spring garden is also the perfect destination for the upcoming spring racing carnival with champagne specials by GH Mumm.
