VIVID 

This is a festival of Light, Music and Ideas.  The program for the festival consist of a free walking tour of light projections and sculptures.  It also includes some great music being performed at Sydney Opera House, including Sounds of the South, CW Stoneking, Empire of the Sun and more.  To check out the program go to www.vividsydney.com

Two comedians have been booked in the same room, at the same time.  Again.  Tim Reuben is a traditional comedian, Raw state semi-finalist, Quest for the Best finalist and hack magician.  Alistair Wallace is experimental, a founder of the UNSW comedy scene and has a very low regard for his personal safety.  After sell out seasons at both Sydney Fringe 2012 and Adelaide Fringe 2013, Tim and Wally are back and are considering firing their booking manager.

This is (still) not a double act.

Beat Kaestli

Beat Kaestli is an internationally acclaimed vocalist, songwriter, arranger and producer.  Returning from New York and gigs in clubs like The Blue Note and The Jazz Standard, he will play a night of jazz at the Sound Lounge at the Seymour Centre.  For more information or to book tickets go to www.sima.org.au

Looking through Glass- Photo exhibition- Tuesday

Looking Through Glass is a photo exhibition by Gilbert Bel-Bachir featured in the Head On Photo Festival 2013.   In this exhibition Gilbert Bel-Bachir travels on Sydney’s buses photographing the streets through its windows. These are a selection of 25 images taken over four years. Bel-Bachir uses the graffiti, scratches and marks left by the commuters as his Photoshop. The results are sometimes realist accompanied with abstraction.

Artbank Social Club

Artbank opens their doors this Saturday for the first Artbank Social Club, featuring access to Australia’s largest collection of contemporary art, food trucks, DJ and more!

There is a shuttle bus running on a continuous loop between Central Station and the Firstdraft Gallery in Flinders St, Darlinghurst, so it’s easy to get along and enjoy the afternoon.
