Soul of Seoul
This performance is to demonstrate the crossover between Australian and Korean cultures. The performance will feature Korean music, modern paintings and calligraphy with Jazz.
One of the groups performing will be Stone Jazz. Stone Jazz is a Korean professional music group of six members composed of basic jazz trio (piano, contra bass and drums) combined with traditional Korean instruments – Gayageum (Korean traditional Harp), Haegeum (Korean traditional Violin), and Piri (Korean traditional Oboe) who embodies superb acoustic sound with combination of oriental and western classic instruments. There will also be drawing show by Jin Kyu Kim and an artistic calligraphy performance by Sang Hyun Lee

Have an idea for a community initiative?
The City of Sydney has a new initiative to improve the community with the help of local residents ideas.
If residents have a great idea that is locally based and directly contributing to the cultural, social, environmental or economic life of the City and a group of friends to implement it they could be offered a matching grant of up to $10,000 to implement it.

Urban Arts Base – ART CHALLENGE
Urban Arts Base is a mental health based arts program that aims to raise awareness of mental health and to engage EVERYONE in doing art. As October marks Mental Health Month, their new initiative is an ART CHALLENGE. This initiative invites anyone to send in a photo of a piece of art work to be featured at an exhibition at Katipo Coffee House Deluxe in Bondi – 25th October to 14th November.

Antenna Documentary Festival
Antenna presents five documentary-packed days in October. The idea for Antenna was born nearly two years ago to support the strong documentary film culture in Australia. This festival recognises films in international, Australian and student categories.
