Humans of New York at the Opera House

The creator of one of the most-viewed on going photo projects ever will be at the Sydney Opera House Saturday, 10th of February to talk about the development and creation behind the project.

Move well - exercise class

Every Tuesday, including next Tuesday, 13th of February, for older community members who want to integrate safe and practical exercise into their life style. Classes includ pilates, yoga and traditional exercises to build and maintain strength, flexibility and balance.

Calligraphy and Painting Demonstration

Let established Chinese artists introduce you to the ancient art of calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting. The finished pieces can be taken home if you wish, a tradition said to gather good wishes for the year ahead. In partnership with the Australian Artists Society.

With artist Professor Wen-hua Tan (Director of Australian Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Art Institute) and calligrapher Daniel Ng.

Bushcare Working Bee @ Haberfield

Come along and join our wonderful group of volunteers at a Bushcare Working Bee. Spend a few hours with your hands in the soil, caring for and learning about our local plants and environment.

New volunteers are welcome and no experience is required. Morning tea is provided.

Volunteers need to wear long-sleeved shirts and long trousers; stout, closed-in footwear; and a hat. Please remember to bring some water to drink. All necessary equipment (including gloves) will be supplied.
