Easter Egg Hunt

Get yourself and the kids into the Easter spirit this weekend with a good old egg hunt.The Easter Bunny is coming back to The Australian Botanic Garden on Saturday 15 April! Children use a trail map to complete fun challenges, collect chocolate eggs and hunt for their furry Easter friend. Bring your camera as the Easter bunny will be sticking around for family photos after!

Easter Parade and Family Day

Get out and about on Easter Monday and work off all that chocolate. Head to the Easter parade and celebrate in the company of giant inflatables, animal costumes, marching band, stilt-walkers. Sydney Easter Parade is expected to attract over 3,000 paraders from different groups, ministries, and churches from various denominations, who will all come together and celebrate the unified theme, Jesus is Alive. The parade starts and 10 am at Meet at Hyde Park Sydney, and ends at Tarpeian Way (Opera House).

Bluesfest 2017

Take advantage of the long weekend and head to Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm for Australia's best blues and roots festival. Bluesfest presents over 200 performances with up to 7 stages over 5, 12 hour days, as well as camping for up to 6,000 people, 5 licensed bars, over 100 food and market stalls, undercover food courts, beer gardens, and children’s entertainment. This years acts include Patti Smith and Billy Bragg.

Pick up Pickling!

Marrickville pickling and preserving pros Cornersmith will be descending on Central Park Mall this Easter long weekend to host free Seasonal Quick Pickle workshops.

Taking place on Saturday April 15 and Sunday April 16, three sessions a day from 1pm, the 15-minute workshops will cover the basics for preserving veggies, which can be used on sandwiches, burgers, in salads, to top off your breakfast, or on anything really.

There will be three sessions per day, with each accommodating up to 20 people and workshops will be held on Central Park's Level One in the Workroom.

Places are limited, so make sure you register via Central Park Mall to secure your spot.
