'Our Lands'
The Art Gallery of NSW presents an exploration of the right to land, by contemporary Australian Indigenous artists ,in'Our Lands'. Works from the Gallery’s collection explore the tensions, conflicts, suspicions and political struggles that are central to any discussion about rights to land in Australia.
Our Lands features work by Gordon Bennett, Daniel Boyd, Robert Campbell Jr, Brenda L Croft, Destiny Deacon, Kevin Gilbert, Julie Gough, Gordon Hookey, Djambawa Marawili, Bobby West Tjupurrula, Ben Galmidle Ward and Judy Watson.
Rising Minds
Rising Minds is your healthy breakfast dose of big ideas! It is also a global think-tank and free monthly talk series that currently has outposts in London, New York and Toronto. Australian founder Drew Smith, who previously ran Creative Mornings in London, says bringing the series to Sydney is a sort of like a “homecoming” for him.
This week features Professor Susan Thompson, of the City futures research centre at UNSW. Susan explains why we urgently need a strategy that puts health and well-being at the centre of urban planning and smart cities.

Comedy on EDGE started life as a small open mic night in Darlinghurst in 2006 and has grown into a Comedy events company that produces Shows, Podcasts, Festivals and online content.
Each week we run one of Sydney’s most beloved Tuesday night Comedy shows at the Chippendale Hotel (87 Abercombie Street) and also put out a weekly Podcast The Chat Show (iTunes).

Try it out with three complimentary dragon boat training sessions! We train at 1 Bank Street (next to the Fish Markets) on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (6.15pm) and also Saturday mornings (8.45 am). Fun and Free!
The Sydney Brick Show
If the kids are driving you mad after two weeks off, get out and down to Town Hall and check out a bunch of bricks and blocks at the LEGO Sydney Brick Show. If you're a grown up that has no kids, that's fine too, they don't judge!
You will see amazing creations built by over 100 passionate LEGO fans from across Australia. This year marks the sixth year that the Sydney Brick Show has held events in Sydney, celebrating the best in the LEGO fan community.
Look out for interactive exhibits, LEGO play areas, and some of the best in new, rare, and vintage LEGO retail. The show is a family fun outing for the whole family!
