COOL MUSIC FOR HOT DAYS (and NIGHTS!)

moon under waterAt the beginning of this year Maisy Stapleton interviewed Andrew Hagger and Elodie Sablier about the recently released album Moon under Water.

Moon under Water is cool, contemplative and tranquil and since its release, reached the top 10 of the ARIA album charts (classical crossover) at its peak.

Andrew Hagger is an established composer and producer with credits such as Isn’t it Amazing sung by Olivia Newton John. He is also co-producer of the album HOPE for ABC Music in 2012.

However it’s finance rather than music which is his chosen career, as Andrew works in a senior executive role at the National Australia Bank.

Moon Under Water is his debut as a recorded performer, in addition to his role as producer and composer of several of the pieces on the album.

The album  includes music by Andrew and a number of musicians he identifies as great musicians and great friends.

Elodie Sablier is a pianist who has composed and plays 3 tracks on Moon under Water.

This interview is being podcast for the first time and you can catch Andrew and Elodie in Sydney on 26 March, at The Sound Lounge.  See https://www.seymourcentre.com/events/event/elodie-sablier/  for details. The album is released by ABC Music.

The interview was first played on Arts Thursday on 4th January.

Join Maisy Stapleton, Andrew Hagger and Elodie Sablier for a joyful interview about music, ideas and inspiration.
