Could you be a Community Creator? Woollahra Council thinks so…
Do you have a big idea to improve your Eastern Suburbs community? Woollahra Council reckons you do and are getting behind it with East Ideas.
“So many local residents are really passionate about giving back to our community and this is our way of supporting them and turning their ideas into a reality,” Cr Andrew Petrie, Mayor of Woollahra said.
To get the ball rolling on their new Community Creators portal, Woollahra Council is running a competition where you can win $500 cash and get help to get your ideas going including planning help from Woollahra Council itself, a promotional package from us here at Eastside Radio, and marketing help from ad agency Litterini Clark.
It’s easy to become a Community Creator: just head to the Community Creators website HERE and enter your idea.
“In just 150 words or less local residents and community groups are invited to put forward a project idea that they believe promotes community interaction and harmony,” Cr Petrie continues. “The idea might be as simple as starting a community garden, launching a car pool program, supporting a new sporting program for kids, organising visitors for isolated seniors or hosting a painting workshop for young artists.”
Entries close Friday 29 March 2013 so there’s no time to waste – check out the website for info and get your local community working on your great idea.
