Damien Ryan on the other plays by Shakespeare

White, bearded man with glasses in grey jumper.

Damien Ryan is Artistic Director of Sport for Jove theatre company, which specialises in the works of Shakespeare, and is currently deep in rehearsals directing Hamlet, to be staged by Bell Shakespeare later this year.

He took time out from thinking about Shakespeare’s most high-profile play to talk to me about the plays Shakespeare wrote that we don’t get the chance to see on stage so much. Which are Shakespeare’s hidden gems, that are due to be brought out and polished?

Anna Kamaralli is the author of Shakespeare and the Shrew, and blogs at Flaming Moth.

Hamlet reaches Sydney on 27 October.
