Dave Panichi Septet JAS Concert 25 September

After many years working in New York with some of the greatest names in jazz, Dave Panichi returned to Australia and established himself as one of Australia’s most prominent trombone players. Dave will play with his Septet at the next Jazz Action Society concert at Paddington Town Hall on Wednesday 25 September at 7.30 pm, supported by Eastside Radio.

Dave will lead on trombone, with Warwick Alder on trumpet, Peter Farrar on alto sax and Carl Morgan on guitar. Matt McMahon will play piano, Karl Dunnicliff will be on bass and Nic Ciceri is on drums.

Dave Panichi has recently performed with Mike Nock’s Big Small Band, composed and played in the Ralph Pyl Sydney All-Star Band and scored rave reviews for Bob Mintzer’s August 2006 tour.  At the same time Dave has created the Dave Panichi Sydney Youth Jazz Orchestra, to help young musicians develop their skills.

The Jazz Action Society concert on Wednesday 25 September at Paddo RSL will be an exceptional musical experience not to be missed. Admission for members is $10 and for others $15.
