Why are we so fascinated by design?

Is it the beauty of the object or the creativity of the ideas or the process? Or is it the AH! Factor – discovering something new, special or hitherto undreamed of?

Tune in to Arts Thursday’s ongoing series DESIGN ANTENNA to meet Raymond Scott, a Director of Workshopped, an organisation established to nurture design talent and develop Australian design products. Workshopped is opening an exhibition – A Clean Slate – at the Supa Centa Moore Park, from 14th to 24th August 2014, asking designers to showcase how they designed their products.

Then visit the Powerhouse Museum  collection storage area, to speak with Curator Campbell Bickerstaff, about the upcoming exhibition iNTERFACE, people, machines, design, exploring how design has been used to enable the use of complex machines.

Join me, Maisy Stapleton, to explore the design process and its outcomes this Thursday 14th August, 10:30 til noon, on Art’s Thursday’s DESIGN ANTENNA.
