Dial Afrika – Interview with Grace Barbé

Dial Afrika Wednesday 9am

Remember, all Eastside shows can be replayed for four weeks via our Program Guide.

Grace Barbé, a Seychelles islander, has a tremendously powerful voice that has accounted for her rise as a genuinely exotic world music star. Grace’s vibrant Indian Ocean heritage (African, Indian, Asian, European) is beautifully mirrored in her soulful music which is colourfully and energetically infused with tropical island beats, African percussion, reggae, pop, rock and Latin flavours. Her song writing skills have graced her art with a unique and natural rhythm and melodic style. Along with her stellar voice that she can project in three different languages, English, Kreol and French, Grace also plays guitar and bass. Grace’s talents are always energetically and captivatingly exhibited in her life performances and now Australia has another chance to see her live with her national tour. The dates and venues for Sydney are below.

You can tune in on Wednesday at 9am with PJ on Dial Afrika to hear him interview Grace, and learn a little more about this striking talent.
