Wonders and Shivers Last Night on ForeverFrench with Pianist Elodie Sablier
Last night, Forever French team was delighted to invite wonderful and glamourous pianist and composer Elodie Sablier to present her new album “Vertigo”, released last week in Australia.
No need for words, just listen to her piece “Vertigo”
With “Vertigo”, Elodie Sablier explores the frontiers of Classical music, crossing into Jazz and world music. Her contemplative compositions are inspired from her roots from Provence and her new life in Australia.
“Vertigo” has just overwhelmed us with delicacy, grace, impressionist images and emotions. We simply LOVE this piano album.
Originally from France, Elodie Sablier studied at the Conservatoire of Lyon and Paris in France, where she obtained the first prize in soloist performance as well as in music chamber. Then she performed recitals as well as composed and played music for silent movies for which she won various competitions.
She has been living in Australia since 2008 and has continued to perform classical music, Four Hands and Duos. She also had a successful project with the Painter Paul Thomas as she composed for a series of Portraits of the World’s greatest composers – the portraits which are currently exposed in the City Recital Hall.
You may have been mesmerized by her music in QVB on a Thursday or Saturday afternoon, as she plays the grand piano there every week.
