DRIVE FRIDAY: “Diamond Jubilee” Special, 15.06.12 – debate: possible futures for our system of government
Drive Friday and the Citizens Parliament will, on 15/6/12, celebrate the Diamond Jubilee by discussing the possible futures (yes, plural) of our system of government.
We’ll be joined by Professor David Flint, Convenor of Australians for Constitutional Monarchy, and other special guests.
If you’d like to come into the studio and have your say, on air, on how you think our system of government could be improved (for example, we should repeal electoral laws which prevent ordinary citizens nominating for our own parliaments), you’re welcome; please email Eastside presenter Jon Shapiro, with a short summary of any changes you’d like to see (or, to keep things just as they are), at: radio@umpire.com
We’ll also be joined by a special correspondent live in London, to talk about what’s been happening in the UK capital at this time of celebration.
