The Sydney Latin American Film Festival – opens this Wednesday 1 September

The Sydney Latin American Film Festival 100% not for profit festival showcasing Latin American film and culture and supporting community programs in Central and South America. The Festival is driven entirely by a group of dedicated volunteers and all proceeds of the Festival go to community projects in Latin America. You’ll see the biggest selection of Latin American films ever shown in Australia!

Festival dates and locations:
Dendy Opera Quays 1-9 September
Mu-Meson Archives 10-12 September
Macquarie University 14-15 September
Casula Powerhouse 16-19 September

It is a very special year in Latin America – Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Mexico all commemorate the Bicentenary year of Independence and this festival will celebrate by bringing fresh and exciting Latin American cinema to Sydney audiences.

The Festival kicks off on September 1 in the city, at the beautiful Dendy Opera Quays next door to the Sydney Opera House, and runs through to September 19, closing at the spectacular Casula Powerhouse in Western Sydney.
