Fixed Term Position: 1^st August 2012 to 30 June 2013

Salary: $45,000 pro rata

Summary

We present Arts based programs every day of the week. We are currently seeking an experienced person to fulfill the role of an Executive Producer for these shows.

The successful candidate will have already worked in either the Arts and/or Journalism and/or Broadcasting sector and is looking for something with more flexibility. The position is for approximately 10 hours a week.

Short listed applicants will be interviewed by the Station Manager and a Member of the Board.

Duties:

• To manage all requests for interviews and disseminate accordingly
• To generate specific leads for on air content
• To coordinate all Arts programs into a consistent sounding block yet unique in each program
• Implement promotion and marketing strategy
• Coordination of on air and online broadcast
• Audience development of Eastside Arts
• Development of ideas for new Arts segments
• Monthly reporting on all Arts programs
• Managing guests both pre and post production
• Administrative tasks as required

Selection Criteria

Essential

• At least 2 year’s experience in either journalism or arts
• Experience in liaising with artists, volunteers, publicists and events
• Ability to input into the production process – e.g. interview concept, research, final production
• Strong arts industry contacts relevant to Eastside’s audiences

Desirable

• Excellent written communication skills
• Good face to face presentation skills
• Ability to manage a team of station volunteers
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent time management.
