Eastside Radio goes to the Probus Club

On the 27th of February 2013 The Probus Club of Rose Bay very kindly invited Station Manager Tony Smythe to talk about their loval community radio station. As you can see by their smiling faces not one of the them was disinterested or falling asleep!!! This photo was taken to demonstrate the immediacy of communication in that a our audience on the website could visibly know what the station was presently up to in another part of the city. The talk given primarily focused around the day to day runnings of their local community radio station as well as some interesting and unknown historical facts both about 89.7FM and community broadcasting in general. At the end many of the participants expressed a positive interest in the talk and given their enthusiasm we may vere well have some new volunteers in the foreseeable future. Many thanks to the Probus Club of Rose Bay for inviting us along. We look forward to perhaps meeting other Probus Clubs within our license area and repeating the talk with similar enthusiasm.
