In Van Morrison’s song “It Stoned Me” he sings the lyrics “stoned me just like Jelly Roll”.

Is the reference to ‘Jelly Roll’ a reference to the great Pianist Jelly Roll Morton?

Or a type of pastry with Jam in it?

or is he referring to a mans genitalia?

The questions was posed via regular caller John (from Leichardt) and there was little The Sheik could say, except for “I’m sure Van Morrison was talking about the pianist, not a penis…… or the pianist’s penis”.

Either way, listeners got to sample only one of the three options during the show “but what they do in there own homes is their own business”
