Eclectique 17:07:10
After a couple of weeks stuck in other parts of the country, it was ‘welcome back’ to the big chair at Studio A for The Sheik. And what a welcome back it was indeed. New presenters from 8-10 p.m. (hello “Liquorice Pizza”) and a brand new (old) mixer (thing) for the turntables. It was enough, or even too much, for The Sheik who went straight into the first song rather than present himself after the intro. “I’d lost my mojo, and I was suffering from ‘not from heat sweating” said The Sheik, “it’s rare for me to get flustered, well we don’t get new gear that often!”.
But slowly things started taking shape, and the show fell back into it’s regular groove, “if that’s what you call it”, and Eclectique was back on track, and The Sheik stayed in the saddle, “yeah, that’s what I call it”
