Well it was ‘that time of year’ again (“I always thought it was in March though”) when Sydney comes together and embraces this amazing spectacular. Crowds gather in their thousands and scream with all their might to show support for these truly unique characters. “I love seeing fit blokes, doing what they love and giving it their all” says The Sheik, and he wasn’t alone in his support. Where else in the world would such an event gain so much respect and admiration? “maybe in England, they seem to like it”, true Sheik, but they don’t seem to like it as much as we do. So send in the cleaners, pick up the streamers, and let’s pay homage to something that has brought us all together, literally, St George 26, South Sydney 26. Let’s get this Rugby League season started!
