New Zealand’s favourite live collaborative group Fly My Pretties is coming to Australia in 2015 for Bluesfest and a capital city tour.
Starring a revolving selection of the country’s finest contemporary musicians, all set to a visual backdrop, it is a unique and beautiful live experience not to be missed.
Conceptualised by The Black Seeds’ Barnaby Weir and Loop’s Mikee Tucker, the mercurial collective has become a legend of NZ music that continues to reach people all over the world.
The platinum-selling project won best Roots album at the 2007 New Zealand Music Awards, received multiple B-Net nominations, and has been received internationally with popularity and acclaim. ‘Fly My Pretties – A Story’ (2011) debuted at #1 on the Top 40 RIANZ album charts, and its tour sold out.
The Australian show line-up includes: Singer/songwriters Anna Coddington, L.A. Mitchell, Eva Prowse, Mel Parsons, Ria Hall (Bilingual Maori singer/from Hollie Smith band), Barnaby Weir(The Black Seeds), Jarney Murphy (Drummer, The Black Seeds), Kara Gordon (multi-instrumentalist), Mara TK (Electric Wire Hustle/son of Bill TK), Mike Fabulous, Nigel Patterson, and Ryan Prebble (The Inkling/ The Chandeliers/ Dubcheck/Spartacus R).
