Frock up for the Fifties Fair!
Ladies find your floral frocks and hair curlers, lads put on your suspenders and a generous application of hair goo, and get ready to travel back in time. Sydney’s annual Fifties fair is upon us!
On Sunday 24th August 2014 10AM–4PM Wahroonga’s beautiful Rose Seidler house, a taste of 50’s style in itself, will be awash with colour and style. With rocking music, delicious food and great shopping this fifties fair is always a great time full of 50’s inspired mayhem.
The music will be provided by Perth rockabilly specialists Shotdown from Sugartown, in town exclusively for the fair! Sharing the bill is Sydney’s own Pat Capocci, a fair favourite, and a highly accomplished Blues and swing performer.
The foodies will have no shortage of options as Porteño’s award-winning chefs return with their burners and tongs for some Argentine barbecue, Nighthawk Diner will be serving brilliant burgers and subs from their truck. As a sweet to follow Madame Pop makes an appearance, pulling along her retro cart of all-natural artisan ice pops, or satisfy your craving for the taste of good old-fashioned cakes with classics by Birgitta’s: A Little Indulgence.
All of this can be splashed down with the exotic and varied organic teas by The Rabbit Hole Organic Tea Bar or freshly roasted coffee from Allpress Espresso.
To go with the great food and entertainment,Sterling Hair, our in-house barber shop, will be there giving the gents you a sharp shave and an even sharper part, And ladies will be pampered by Miss Pixie at Boogie Bop Dames, the Fifties Fair hair and beauty salon.
