Frøy Aagre Electric Trio

As Ultimo’s jazzy heartbeat, Foundry616 will play host to Norwegian saxophone extraordinaire Frøy Aagre and her electric trio.

With a penchant for both tenor and soprano saxophone, Frøy will be diverted away from her past works, and promoting her unique but ultimately jazz-filled sound. Fused with elements of electronic, this form of jazz reaches new heights that provide a more modern release amongst her peers.

Having studied in both Oslo and Birmingham, Frøy has become notorious within the international jazz scene, performing at many festivals across the continents including the famous Wangeratta Jazz Festival in 2009.

Her fellow performers on this night will be the Brisbane based drummer John Parker and master of the black and white keys Sean Foran, who will ensure an upbeat performance of that grooving melodic jazz.
