Giving young women a future in Cambodia

AusCam Freedom Project is an organisation working in Cambodia, set and run by local people from Sydney’s Eastern suburbs, which is trying to improve the life opportunities of young Cambodian women who have experienced trauma in their lives through; violence, poverty, abandonment, homelessness, sexual exploitation or human trafficking. One of AusCam’s co founders,Julie Dowse, has just returned to Australia to try to raise financial and other forms of support for their projects. Mick Paddon talked with Julie on Thursday Drive about why she and her husband set up AusCam a couple of years ago, what it is doing in Cambodia, and how they would like our help.
