Global Rhythm Returns

Eastside Radio presents its unique community event, Global Rhythms on the Bay, the only free world music concert in Sydney.

After enormous success in 2010, attracting more than 3,000 punters, this event encourages community engagement, adventure and exotic sounds for locals, Eastside listeners and music lovers alike.

The 2011 event will feature sought-after bands led by Eastside presenters…

The Tango Saloon: A twist on tango where Astor Piazzolla meets Ennio Morricone with a dash of spaghetti western.

Dereb the Ambassador: a new explosion of Ethiopian soul and jazz backed by Sydney’s most-skilled jazz musicians.

And Mucho Mambo: a big band injection of Cuban salsa.

Plus Eastside world music DJs selecting tracks from Lolo Lovina’s Karavan.

Join us for an afternoon of sunshine, good rhythms and community fun.
