Great Cycle Challenge: riding to fight kids’ cancer

Great Cycle Challenge encourages people of all ages and fitness levels to get on their bikes this October and ride to fight kids’ cancer!

You set yourself a personal target of kilometres for the month and pedal throughout October to achieve your goal. Your target could be 10km or 10,000km and you can ride for a week, a fortnight or the entire month, it’s up to you.

As part of your registration, you’ll get a FREE APP to log your kilometres and you can track your progress online against friends, colleagues and other riders across Australia. You can also log your kilometres through Strava, MapMyRide (coming soon), your existing GPS device or manually through your personal dashboard. You can ride your bike outdoors or take on the Spin Bike Challenge

Cancer is the largest killer of children from disease in Australia. Over 600 Australian children are diagnosed with cancer each year, and sadly, three die every week. Your fundraising efforts through Great Cycle Challenge will support research, which is vital to develop treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer. Research has already led to breakthroughs in treating cancer and improved survival rates for kids all across Australia. But we won’t stop until ALL kids are free from cancer! Every hill we climb, every kilometre we pedal, is to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

What: Great Cycle Challenge Australia.

When: October 2015

Where: Where ever individual or team can cycle their distance.
